To all our patients,
We hope you and all your families are well and keeping safe in these extraordinary times. Firstly, we would like to thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time and can now inform you that following recent NHS England advice, we are currently in the process of preparing our practice for re-opening.
Although we endeavour to re-open on Monday 8th June, this will be dependent on us being able to put all the necessary procedures and precautions in place. In adjunct to this, our staff will be trained and all the additional required PPE will need to be available in sufficient levels before we can carry out any aerosol generating procedures. Your safety and the safety of our staff is paramount and initially, we will be limited in which procedures we are able to carry out safely. We are very aware that the Covid-19 risk is still very much present and needs to be at the forefront of all our minds.
We understand that there are many patients who are eager to attend the practice and we will do our utmost to facilitate this as soon as reasonably possible, but there will need to be a phased approach. The initial 2 weeks following re-opening will involve treating those patients who have had acute emergencies during our closure. We will then aim to see all patients with existing open courses of treatment. We have lists of these patients and will be contacting you in due course if this applies to you.
We will then be able to offer routine appointments and will aim to do this in a fair and chronological manner.
We will again have to ask for your patience and understanding as we re-establish dental care. We can understand your frustrations but cannot offer you exact time frames as dentistry, like many other walks of life is to experience significant changes following the recent pandemic. We will be seeing a reduced number of patients per day and will not be able to use all our surgeries. Our cross-infection control methods will be even more robust and there will also be changes to how you access the practice. You will be given further information about these in due course.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THE PRACTICE IN PERSON, OUR DOORS WILL BE CLOSED.
Contact will need to continue by telephone or email.
Currently, we are providing URGENT TELEPHONE ADVICE ONLY. If you require this service, please telephone 07942 644156 during normal working hours and we will advise you appropriately.
Whilst we are unable to provide treatment at present, we would like you to know that your oral health is extremely important to us. We realise that it is difficult to purchase oral hygiene aids at present and we are keen that you continue the good habits that most of you have. If you need to purchase any oral hygiene products (tepes, curasept etc), please email us and we will post them out to you for a nominal postage charge.
Many thanks for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
