Following the latest Guidance from Monday 19th July 2021, we can confirm that we will continue to operate in a safe manner with relevant PPE. We still need to act cautiously to stop the spread of the virus and people visiting this practice may be contagious without knowing it.
Many people are still not fully vaccinated, so cutting virus transmission is still very important. Health premises are a higher risk enviroment and we need to maintain some control measures to keep everyone safe.
So we are asking everyone visiting our practice to:
- Wear a face mask, unless you're exempt
- Maintain social distancing
-Use hand gel on entering and leaving the building
- Wait outside until your appointment time
All appointments will take place to ensure our patients receive the best dental health care we are able to offer.
We would appreciate your patience during these extraordinary times, we are experiencing a very high number of calls, email contact is preferable and we aim to reply within 24 hrs.
To all our patients,
We hope you and all your families are well and keeping safe in these extraordinary times and would like to thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time. We are open and doing our best to offer a comprehensive service in a fair order whilst prioritising those with urgent needs first. There are limitations to the numbers we are able to see and treatments we are able to carry out due to maintaining social distancing measures and abiding by current guidelines regarding fallow times for surgeries and cleaning protocols to keep us all safe.
We have put numerous procedures and precautions in place using current guidelines from the relevant bodies to ensure that your visit to the practice is as safe as possible given the current climate. In adjunct to this, our staff have received appropriate training and will be screened regularly. PLEASE SEE OUR COVID PAGE for detailed instructions if you have an appointment.
We are very aware that the Covid-19 risk is still very much present and needs to be at the forefront of all our minds. Your safety and the safety of our staff is paramount and therefore, we will not be carrying out any aerosol generating procedures at present unless it is urgently required. The national covid alert level, will determine when we will recommence routine dental care.
We understand that there are many patients who are eager to attend the practice and we will do our utmost to facilitate this as soon as reasonably possible, but there will need to be a phased approach. The initial period following re-opening will involve treating those patients who have had acute emergencies during our closure. We will then aim to see all patients with existing open courses of treatment. We have lists of these patients and will be contacting you in due course if this applies to you.
We will then aim to offer routine appointments and will aim to do this in a fair and chronological manner. We would kindly request you to take appointments when offered if at all possible, this will help us to see as many patients as possible.
We will again have to ask for your patience and understanding as we re-establish dental care. We can understand your frustrations but cannot offer you exact time frames as dentistry, like many other walks of life is to experience significant changes following the recent pandemic. We will be seeing significanty reduced number of patients per day and will not be able to use all our surgeries.
Our cross-infection control methods will be even more robust and there will also be changes to how you access the practice. We would ask you to call the practice if you have an urgent dental need and we will endevour to initially provide a telephone triage service with a dentist prior to booking you in.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THE PRACTICE IN PERSON, OUR DOORS WILL BE CLOSED.
Contact will need to continue by telephone or email.
Your oral health is important to us. We realise that it is difficult to purchase oral hygiene aids at present and we are keen that you continue the good habits that most of you have. If you need to purchase any oral hygiene products (tepes, curasept etc), please email us and we will post them out to you for a nominal postage charge or arrange for you to collect them from the practice.
Many thanks for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
